BRIANNA LICKISS

Registered Psychologist, BPsych(Hons) and MProfPsych

Brianna is a registered psychologist and has experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of presentations. Brianna adopts a person-centred, holistic approach to therapy with her clients. She emphasises collaboration, empathy, and genuineness in her work, fostering an authentic rapport. Brianna values working as a part of a multidisciplinary team as this can enhance outcomes and experiences for her clients. She is trained in a variety of evidenced based treatments such as Family-based treatment (FBT), Cognitive Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

Brianna adopts neurodiverse affirming and practices from an inclusive Health at Every Size (HAES®) framework. Brianna works alongside her clients to make meaningful changes in their life and promotes developing a positive relationship with their eating and body. Her training has involved supporting the Eating Disorder (ED10) pilot and feasibility study delivering CBT-T (10-session CBT) and guided self-help interventions to adults diagnosed with eating disorders.

Brianna has a special interest in eating disorders with a focus on supporting individuals to develop positive relationships with food and eating and fostering body acceptance. In addition to eating disorders, She enjoys working with a diverse range of presentations and people of all bodies, genders and abilities. Brianna has obtained general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and adheres to the professional codes of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Outside of her clinical work, Brianna enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and is a pilates and coffee enthusiast.
