CATERINA MOSCATELLO-KUCHMAR
Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD)
Caterina (Cat) is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a Master’s in Dietetics from Deakin and over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry. With her warm, empathetic, and client-focused approach, Caterina has a special interest in women’s health, eating disorders, sports nutrition, gut health (including IBS), and general dietetics.
Caterina’s passion for nutrition and health is deeply personal, having overcome her own eating disorder. This lived experience gives her a unique perspective and ability to relate to clients on their journey to rebuilding a healthy relationship with food. She is passionate about guiding individuals to make balanced, nourishing choices that support their goals while ensuring food remains a source of joy and satisfaction.
Her passion for women’s health was ignited when her eldest daughter was diagnosed with stage 1 Endometriosis, Menorrhagia, and Adenomyosis two years ago. Navigating the complexities of nutrition and health during this journey presented challenges but also inspired a deep commitment to this area of care. This personal experience has shaped her growing expertise and passion for supporting women’s health.
Caterina’s love for Sports Nutrition stems from her background as a basketball player and her continued involvement in fitness as a Personal Trainer and instructor of Body Attack, Pump, CORE, and GRIT classes. Through her fitness journey, she has witnessed how proper nutrition enhances both physical performance and mental health. Caterina is also experienced in working with clients to navigate complex conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, and chronic health challenges, always tailoring her advice to individual needs and lifestyles.
In addition, Caterina has personal insight into managing IBS and the challenges of food intolerance, enabling her to provide practical and compassionate support to clients dealing with gut health concerns.
Outside of her work, Caterina enjoys staying active, spending time with her husband and three daughters, and cheering on her beloved Essendon at the footy with her dad. She is currently based in Eltham and offers telehealth appointments to make her services accessible to clients everywhere.
Caterina is a member of Dietitians Australia, an Accredited Sports Nutritionist, and has completed further training in eating disorders, endometriosis, and the Monash FODMAP course for dietitians. She is currently furthering her expertise in Sports Dietetics with Sports Dietitians Australia.
