Danielle works from a Health At Every Size (HAES®) framework and uses a non-diet approach to support those in their journey to healing. She aims to guide her patients towards body awareness, trust, self-compassion and overall wellness, rather than a weight centric goal via vicious diet cycles. This guidance rejects the notion of diet culture and steers you away from food rules and moves towards intuitive eating to provide nourishment, compassion and respect for your body and mind. Her aim is to gently support you in reconnecting back with you and embracing who you are as an amazing human; your authentic and unapologetic self.
Danielle understands that every person has their own individual eating history and body story, which makes each person unique and human. She provides a compassionate and gentle approach to all clients she works with and approaches her work with her clients through a lens of kindness and curiosity. She prioritizes safety within her consultations in order to foster a deep connection, building trust to facilitate healing within one’s journey.
Danielle not only draws upon her work experience within supporting those with eating disorders, however also draws upon her lived experience as well as being involved with Eating Disorders Victoria in their Peer Mentoring Program & contributing to the Severe & Enduring Eating Disorder Program.
In addition to eating disorders, Danielle is also passionate about gut health, having experience working with clients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (FODMAP Diet) and Irritable Bowel Disease.
