SOPHIE KANE

Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) – Master of Dietetics (MDiet), Bachelor of Food and Nutrition Science (BFoodNutrSci), Member of Dieticians Australia

Sophie Kane is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a passion for helping people build a positive, balanced relationship with food. She believes that food is more than just nutrients and that a person’s worth is not defined by a number on the scale.

Sophie takes a trauma-informed, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach, ensuring her clients feel safe, supported, and heard throughout their journey. Dedicated to working with adolescents and adults, she takes the time to understand her clients—their experiences, lifestyle, goals, and challenges—to create a plan that truly works for them.

Sophie follows a holistic approach within the Health at Every Size (HAES®) framework, using mindful and intuitive eating principles to help clients tune into their body’s natural hunger and fullness cues, break free from emotional eating and food guilt, and find confidence in nourishing themselves without restrictive food rules. She also encourages movement as a way to feel good rather than as punishment, empowering her clients with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to feel their best—both physically and mentally. provides guidance and encouragement every step of the way.

Outside of work, Sophie enjoys running and spending time in nature, hiking, and exploring new places. She has a love for coffee, cooking, and culinary culture, believing that eating should be enjoyable, stress-free, and nourishing.
