TAHLIA PATERSON
Registered Psychologist – BPsychSc (Hons), MProfPsych
Tahlia is a registered psychologist who is passionate about empowering individuals to learn and grow at every stage of life, whilst acknowledging we all sometimes need guidance finding our way or generating change. Her approach to therapy can be described as warm and gentle, with a focus on building a genuinely supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients.
Tahlia has a special interest in helping people develop positive and accepting relationships with food and eating, our bodies, and emotions. She also comes from a non-diet and weight inclusive approach, works within a trauma-informed lens, and is also neurodiverse-affirming.
Tahlia is passionate about providing evidence-based treatment for individuals and can draw on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Family Based Therapy (FBT), and Satter Division of Responsibility in Feeding (sDOR).
Outside of work, you can find Tahlia catching up with friends and family, trialling a new recipe, trying to catch up on her never-ending reading list, and hunting down the best pastry in Melbourne (harder than it seems).
