TAMARA WILTSHIRE (She/Her)

Registered Psychologist & Sports and Exercise Psychologist Registrar: Bachelor of Biomedical Science, (B.Biomed.Sci), Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), Master of Psychology (Sports and Exercise), Master of Clinical Psychology (Candidate)

Tamara is a registered General Psychologist and a Sports and Exercise Psychologist Registrar with a particular interest in working to improve body acceptance and enhance relationships with food and eating in sports and performance. She has a Master of Psychology (Sports and Exercise) and is currently completing her Master of Psychology (Clinical).

Tamara works with clients experiencing a range of presentations, including eating disorders, body image concerns, perfectionism, sports and performance, exercise and health behaviour change, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationships, career transition, stress management, and trauma.

Tamara uses an empathetic approach and transparency to create a safe space for her clients. She takes a holistic approach to individuals and enjoys working with diverse clients. Tamara is passionate about providing evidence-based treatment to individuals, groups/teams, and families. Tamara provides a safe and secure, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions, develop healthier coping skills, and move towards a more fulfilling life.

Tamara is trained in a variety of evidence-based treatments, like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Enhanced cognitive behaviour for eating disorders (CBT-E), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and currently completing Family-based treatment (FBT).

Tamara is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and adheres to the professional codes of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

When Tamara is not working in private practice, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves keeping fit and healthy. She enjoys watching all sports.
